This weekend I made my first visit to the local thrift shop. Let me just say there will be many more trips in the future!!!
1. I couldn't believe all the "stuff" they had
and 2. How cheap it all was!
As a grad student who doesn't have much of an income cheap is my best friend!!!
So here is what I got....
A pair of New York and Company black dress pants $3.99
A black t-shirt from Express $2.99
A couple dress shirts from Gap for the boyfriend $2.99 a piece
If you Give a Cat a Cupcake by Laura Numeroff $.49
Stellaluna Pop-up book by Janelle Cannon $.99
and Thank You Mr. Falker by Patrica Polacco $.49
All for under $20.00!!!!
This girl was one happy camper walking out. Got to love a bargin!! This little thrift shop will be seeing me a lot especially to expand my future classroom library. They have a great selection of children books on all levels and topics! Woohooo!

Take Two...
So
here is my second attempt at becoming a blogger! Let's just say I've
been more of a "lurker" than a writer. But, I am going to try to change
that. I am a little bit obsessed with teaching blogs (okay, maybe a lot
obsessed!) so I decided why not start my own and honestly, I have NO
idea what I'm doing! So this is take two. First attempt...FAIL. Second
attempt.. hopefully a little more successful. I have been up since 4am
trying to figure out how to work this thing, and so far I have a pretty background WOOHOO!!! So let's see what happens....
